CREDENTIAL SUMMARY

Scott R. Weiss, Esquire, is a Bankruptcy Litigation Attorney who has been practicing bankruptcy and foreclosure law since 1991.  Over the course of his practice he has represented mortgagors/debtors as well as mortgagee/creditors.  Mr. Weiss has extensive experience in Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcies as well as experience in Chapter 11. 

Prior to joining the Law Offices of Marshall C. Watson, P.A. in January, 2003, Mr. Weiss for the past six years had large firm experience in only representing mortgages in all types of contested bankruptcy issues, including but not limited to lien-stripping, escrow disputes, sink-hole cases, bad faith motions, and many others. 

Mr. Weiss graduated from Pace University, New York, New York with a Bachelors of Business Administration in 1984.  He was on the Dean list for the Spring, 1984 term.  He was awarded his Juris Doctorate Degree at the University of Miami School of Law in May, 1987.

 While attending the University of Miami School of Law, Mr. Weiss was the business manager for the law school yearbook, The Amicus Curiae from 1985-1987 and was a staff writer for the law school newspaper, The Res Ipsa Loquitor from 1984-1987.

 Mr. Weiss, besides being a member of the Florida Bar, is also a member of the New York Bar, from June, 1988.  He is also admitted in the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts for the United States District Court for Florida.
